So I moved to The Gorge in 1992. I had learned to windsurf in Highschool and knew I wanted to become an adult(not that I'm actually their yet)playing in The Gorge. I do not windsurf much anymore, but I do still occassionally, and do stay active using the natural resources of this place - kayaking, breathing, walking, be a citizen, mountain biking, etc. I live in Washougal, and think often about this amazing place, in which I get to live. I also want to protect and keep this magical place how I found it for future generations, or help to make it better. I am not active with conservation groups or organizations dedicated to The Gorge, not that I don't support them and their efforts. I guess starting TheGorge.com and GorgeSpace.com is my way to help. We have created a robust platform for people to spread awareness, ask questions, and become informed around issues of natural resources and the enviroment here in The Columbia River Gorge. If you are reading this and are part of such an organization, please be in contact and I will be more than happy to allow you space on our site to have a voice and share your concerns and deliver your message(s), on top of what is already at your fingertips by becoming a member and using all of our tools. If you are an individual, like myself, I also hope that you will share what is important to you, in bringing awareness to others, and maybe even learning somthing along the way.
